Whose Line!

Hearing that "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" is coming back to TV has sent me into a giddy frenzy - I cannot even express how much I love this show! (My friends will even attest to being forced into my own Whose Line productions in our living room... embarrassing evidence to be sure...) I've recently been re-watching old episodes - it's almost like hanging out with old friends - and have been doodling some of the regulars.

We have Ryan and Colin in "Greatest Hits," Host Drew Carey, regular player Greg Proops, and - of course - the Three-Headed Broadway Star of Wayne, Ryan, and good-old Colin.

Girl Scouts! Bear Attack!

I've been working on these boards for a while now - they are the final assignment for Rad Sechrist's "Storyboarding for Feature Animation" class. I highly recommend it, he's a great teacher!

The story here is that two Girl Scouts become friends after surviving a run-in with a bear!

Now, I have to give credit where credit is due: my lovely wife, Rory, suggested the original concept of girl scouts running into a bear, and - true to form - I've stolen borrowed all my best ideas from her. What a gal!

Here's a commercial I boarded for "Redbox Instant by Verizon" at Brand New School back in October. It's a take on the old "Let's all go to the lobby" short that would play before features. It was a blast to help come up with the movie references (sadly, it looks like several were cut from the final version) - but take a look!
